Has anyone been a total idiot and totally lied about their life? But then later when they wanted to tell the truth they couldn't because their friends thought they were up there and all that? Well, Let me tell you a story. Let's see if some of you will actually get the moral. (P.S TRUE STORY) All names have been abbreviated and shortened to protect the innocent!
There's this girl at school. Let's call her A. She's popular, smart, athletic and drop-dead-gorgeous. Now let's say a lot of other girls were her 'friends'. But there was this one little problem in her she had told a little lie. Not those really normal lies about her hobbies and whatever. Those really big far-fetched ones. Like she once met Demi Moore at her father's office. Or she went to school with Bruce Willis's kids. (WTF?) The other problem is, she's a new student and nobody knows a thing about her or her family. She just moved from a different country so she has a HUGE advantage and she's pretty sure no one can actually figure out. BUT WE HAVE.
One day, A is walking home with a friend. A is telling her friend she actually lived in NY and LA but she actually just moved from T. (She thought it was boring place to come from.) And she wanted her friends to think she's cool. The other thing is A is also poor. She's at that private school where we all go to, on 'scholarship program'. That's how she could afford to go to our school, the school gave her the uniform and the school supplies for free. The other thing is A is actually really really nice and from what I've experienced, she gave me $10 for lunch when i didn't have any but i could tell she hardly had anything to spend. But she's giving the message to everyone that she's rich and can spend here and there. I know that she can't. She barely has enough money for credit and she's probably the only girl at school who actually cares about her grades and can still score guys. A might be doing all this but she transfers a lot so she doesn't think she'll be in any trouble soon. I kind of don't know about that because her parents look serious about staying here. The thing that's really worrying is A knows that I know about this but she trusts me. What if i suddenly have the urge to go be a gossip? Was i wrong to tell or was she wrong to trust? I want to tell someone but i can't because i'll feel morally guilty and of course she's the reigning queen of school but what the heck. We could use a new one. She not only won the student's hearts but also the teachers. Which is pretty impressive believe me.
Us three. We're being really nice and telling you this but not giving away names. But A is up there, we're not jealous just...curious. If anyone has seen the outcome or results of this sort of situation please help! We're really curious and want to know badly. Plus we have to save her, don't we? If you can help, that would mean so much to us! (And her too, we guess...)
